Thanks to the readers of my first proper post last week - had some good feedback which is always nice. Mostly people wanted more in the way of costs - so I'll be adding prices to the blog; unless its something I bought a while ago and can't remember anymore! Any more; good or bad welcome.

Yesterday was my birthday which means a shopping trip ensued. I picked up this Playsuit in New Look for a very reasonable £22.99 and some earrings. New Look are currently doing buy one get one free on all jewelry so definitely worth checking out; I will be heading back this weekend to stock up!

Here was my birthday night outfit:

Carvella Kurt Geiger in Nude

This is my new purchase in footwear. I tend to avoid places like Kurt Geiger because aside from the fact you need to remortgage your home to buy shoes (these were on sale); it’s one of those shops that I’m always weary of stepping into unless I’m dressed for it. It’s like; have you ever walked into MAC wearing no makeup? I’m fairly sure certain sales assistant have a job description that states “Must be snooty and look down on everyone who walks through the door not dressed to shop there.”

Anyway – I was hunting for a pair of shoes for a wedding – I wanted elegant straps but also comfort – and then I found these; and they ticked all the boxes. I ordered them online and when they came I was devastated to find they were too big. So I decided to venture in store-  braving the filthy looks my Primark pumps were thrown I actually had a really good shopping experience. I approached the one guy who worked in the shop over the woman (guys are far less intimidating) and he bent over backwards souring the shoes in my size from the special reserve Event section. I was really impressed and he’s actually made me a bit more open to venturing in more often. They have a sale on at the moment which is definetely worth checking out - I snagged these beauties for just £29 down from over £120.

I also bought this dress with the mind that Spring is upon us (and fingers crossed some better weather). It was such a good buy at only £14.99 because you can wear it so many ways.

It can be dressed up with a pair of heels; or dressed down for a more casual look. Kudos to any readers who can guess which leading lady the casual look has been inspired by.

Firstly... a little about me.

I'm a Liverpool based Psychology graduate, trainee counselor, recruitment officer, and when I find the time a commercial and editorial model. I have a special fondness for dresses, shoes, makeup and wigs. I've decided to make one of these blogs - it will be a combination of 'what I wore today' combined with my recent purchases, my wishlist and even reviews.

So to start me off; "here's some I did earlier"!

Deep blue playsuit with black lace - ASOS
Patent nude heels - New Look
Rimmel lasting finish lipstick - Heather Shimmer

Black satin dress - Bespoke Eva Forshaw dressmaker
Rimmel Lasting finish lipstick - sugar plum

So watch this space for more posts; I'll try and post at least weekly updates, pictures, previews - maybe even some reviews. Thanks for reading.
